James Gardner

James Gardner is a technical architect. He has worked as an open data consultant and technical lead for the Open Knowledge Foundation working on projects including data.gov.uk. He is also the co-founder of the Pylons web framework which powers sites like reddit.com as well as open data portals all over the world.

He has a background in health research but currently works for Hogarth, an advertising production house with a large base of Python developers, where is he is architecting their new platform.

James runs his own company 3aims Ltd and is interested in open source, carbon reduction, Physics, Python, embedded devices and generally understanding the various ways people interact online. In his spare time James enjoys scuba diving and is a qualified instructor.
