I am passionate about innovation and challenging the status quo within healthcare. Current healthcare systems are unfit to deal with the demands of the 21st century. An ageing population, changing disease type distributions and ever increasing therapeutic costs have driven existing systems to near bankruptcy. I believe the health service of the future must rely on data-driven allocation of resources and undergo a shift toward personalised preventative care in order to be effective in the years to come. As part of my PhD, I focus on the use of wearable devices in order to detect relapse in Schizophrenia and have taken on the role of lead front-end developer for RADAR-CNS (http://radar-cns.org), funded by the Innovative Medicines Initiative 2.
