Dr. William Zeng is a quantum computer scientist and Head of Quantum Cloud Services at Rigetti. He leads product for the Forest quantum programming environment as well as application development partnerships.
He is a co-inventor of Rigetti's quantum/classical hybrid instruction set (Quil) and of the Forest, holds several patents, and has published in fields across quantum hardware and software. Dr. Zeng completed his PhD on the mathematical structure of quantum algorithms as a Rhodes Scholar at the University of Oxford, and holds a BSc in Physics from Yale University. He has worked on superconducting qubits in labs at Yale and ETH Zurich and was listed as Forbes 30 under 30 for science in 2017.
Talks I've Given
Programming the world's first quantum computers using Forest
Featuring William Zeng
The first scalable universal quantum computers are now available, such as the 19 qubit processor built by Rigetti Computing. In this talk, Dr. Zeng will introduce a freely available open-source environment (Forest) for programming these devices.Forest is optimized for hybrid quantum/classical...exploration hybrid-algorithms simulation superconducting-quantum-processors deep-learning quil quantum-computing data api forest
