So you want to collect sensor data from a network of devices on a construction site? Why not build a mesh network. Nothing out there is quite suitable for your use case, you say? Well, roll your own! How hard can it be? Very hard. In this talk I'll outline the challenges we were facing, why we went for a mesh network and what it was like rolling our own (and why it was not a good idea).
