Giulio Vian (Microsoft MVP and Visual Studio ALM Ranger) came down from Ireland before speaking at DevOpsDays Copenhagen to share his Journey of agile transformation in a non-IT company, bringing in Continuous Delivery, traditional infrastructure and modern cloud DevOps practices. In this talk, you will hear about the DevOps journey in his company (Glass, Lewis & Co.), from the initial brown-field all-manual state to the current partially automated situation and the strategic destination of a fully automated and monitored process.
In an equilibrium between a high-level view and useful practical tips, he will touch on what informed their decisions, in terms of priorities and technologies, some lessons learned in setting up Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform for Azure, and how the legacy constraints helped or hindered them on this journey.

Giulio's passion started with a TI-57, quickly followed by a Sinclair ZX80 and an Apple II. After a degree and long years consulting dozens of disparate customers on Microsoft technologies, he is now focused on Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and DevOps themes; in spite of what you hear, he is still able to write working code even using up-to-the-minute editors instead of VI. He is Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP), Visual Studio ALM Rangers since 2010 and likes having the chance to present his point of view because he love sharing experience and chatting.
