How I Rebuilt the Typelevel Ecosystem with Fury

25th March 2019 in London at CodeNode

This SkillsCast was filmed at Keynote by Jon Pretty: How I Rebuilt the Typelevel Ecosystem with Fury

Fury is a new build tool and dependency manager for Scala, based on a radical new model of source dependencies and distributed builds. The Typelevel ecosystem offers a platform of many useful Scala projects which have been converted to use Fury.

Jon will talk about the experience of building them with Fury, the features that were used and the experience developers can expect by adopting Fury. This talk will catalogue the steps involved with writing Fury builds for a widely-used and coherent subset of the Scala ecosystem, covering the common cases, the biggest challenges, and any compromises that had to be made!
