At this month's London Julia meetup, we welcome Simon Byrne, who has been contributing to Julia and various packages since it became an open-source project in 2012 Simon says: " One of my favourite things about Julia is that it is so easy to peek under the hood, in order to understand what's going on and how to make things faster." He will take you on an adventure through some of Julia's internals, give a highlight of some of the things coming up in version 0.4, and pass on some of the neat tricks that he has learnt in his sorties with Julia so far.
