A simple platform for deploying Microservices with Weave and Mesos

2nd September 2015 in London at CodeNode

This SkillsCast was filmed at Deploying Microservices with Weave and Mesos

In particular, you will find out about load-balancing in Weave Run and the usage of the Docker API proxy with Mesos. The talk is based on Weaveworks official guide.

Weave provides a software network that is optimised for visualising and communicating with apps scattered within Docker containers. Using tools and protocols that are familiar to you, Weave provides the network topology that allows you to communicate between containerised apps distributed across multiple networks or hosts more quickly and efficiently.

In this talk Ilya will describe how to setup a Weave Network on a cluster manager, specifically, within the Apache Mesos & Marathon environment. For more details on the Apache Mesos and its application manager, Marathon, see the Apache Mesos Docs and the Marathon Docs.
