The problem? A vast chasm between the Design/UX team and the engineers building out a new CMS. The solution? Node, Express and heaps of Gulp of course. In this talk, Jolyon will cover how a team of two prototypers transformed the lives of the design/UX team giving them a tool to experiment and iterate on the design and interactions of one of the leading news websites in the UK. Ultimately creating a feedback loop that takes production code into the hands of designers and keeps the structure that allows it to flow just as easily back into production.

How a couple of prototypers hacking on an enterprise CMS saved the day
Jolyon Russ has been playing with pixels and vectors for 17 years. Originally studying as a designer, he naturally gravitated towards Flash as his technology of choice. Over the years the tools have changed, but the drive to engage and to build meaning has not. He contracts as a Creative Technologist for startups, agencies and client-sides in London. In between contracts Jolyon likes to work on side projects.
