SkillsCast

Bitcoin for Charity

3rd August 2016 in London at CodeNode

This SkillsCast was filmed at LWB #16 Alice.si

This session was not filmed.

Alice.si is a philanthropy platform that uses smart contracts to give donors total transparency on the impact their money makes. The Alice team will discuss why they chose Ethereum to build their platform, and how smart contracts can be used to give donors the guarantee that they will only pay for successful charitable programmes, or get their money back. After that they will run through some simple smart contract examples, including one of their prototypes. If time allows, they will also show you how you can get your hands on some ether, and explain what the DAO debate is all about.
