Travis Oliphant, Founder of Continuum Analytics, explains recent advances in Continuum's open source projects. Travis says: "We are making rapid progress and there is usually a lot to catch up with people on around conda, conda-forge, numba, bokeh, dask, jupyterlab and machine-learning on top of dask, not to mention the still in incubation projects of blaze, ndtypes, and a re-factored array-computing engine we are working on."

Travis Oliphant

Travis Oliphant has been a prolific contributor to Python, and was for a long time the principal maintainer and documenter of the Numpy project. After a period as President of Enthought Systems he founded Continuum Analytics, and also the NUMfocus non-profit foundation, in 2012. In July 2015 Continuum Analytics received 24 million dollars in Series A Funding. He also loves love applied math, history, and philosophy.
